I visited Manai and his family on my first visit to Mongolia. He is the brother-in-law of my trusted guide and friend ‘Canat’. Although a passing visit, Manai immediately stopped working and gave us a demonstration of his eagles obedience. She was a huge gentle eagle that had taken many foxes. Manai had learnt from his father and grandfather, his own sons had an eagle each and were often out hunting in the surrounding mountains.
