The Path to Abandoned Village

One of a number of paintings from a visit to the Republic of Karelia which is located in the north-western part of the Russian Federation, taking an intervening position between the basins of White and Baltic seas.
Vadim painted this picture at a lake in Karelia. There are several abandoned villages around the lakes. It is April, there is a little bit of rain and mist. This snowshoe hare was slowly jumping along a former road to an abandoned village.
